You may be able to play Call of Duty on the Nintendo Switch in the future. Microsoft is currently planning not only to take over Activision Blizzard, but also to provide one of the top ranges for Nintendo’s handheld hybrids.
Xbox boss Phil Spencer had confirmed this some time ago and now the deal between Microsoft and Nintendo is apparently sealed, as Microsoft President Brad Smith’s tweet revealed, until he deleted it.
Deal only includes Call of Duty
The original tweet mentioned various Xbox games coming to the Switch, but it’s now clear that the deal is only for Call of Duty.
The cooperation between the two companies is expected to last for 10 years. This, along with Phil Spencer’s promise that they will continue to provide Call of Duty for Sony’s consoles, is further confirmation of the statement that Microsoft wants to make its own games available to a broad mass of gamers.
Considering the partnership is set to last 10 years, you’ll be able to play Call of Duty on the Nintendo Switch 2 in the future. The new model is due to appear in 2023.
