Nintendo is bringing a new rewards program to the Switch for you. From now on you can earn platinum points with simple tasks and exchange them for digital and real gifts.

Switch Online subscribers can look forward to a brand new rewards system. From now on you have the possibility earn platinum points with simple tasks while gambling and you can use them to buy special rewards in the Nintendo Shop.

Nintendo Switch Online: New reward system for fans

With the new bonus missions, Nintendo is offering all Switch Online subscribers the chance to earn platinum points while playing. For simple activities you will now receive rewards in the form of useful bonus currency. The tasks include playing NES games, cloud backup of saves or playing a game with online functionality – nothing that should present you with too much of a challenge.

You can see the new feature in detail on your switch. All you have to do is call up the menu item of your Nintendo Switch online subscription and find everything you need to know under Missions & Rewards and current activities. You can use the Platinum Points to buy both digital and physical rewards in the Nintendo Shop. For example, you can get backgrounds here or you can create your own personal user icon from various objects. The items offered for the icon are renewed every week, giving you many different combinations to choose from.
