In this mid-May, it is once again the first Game Boy of the name which is entitled to a handful of productions and it is not without reason. In fact, it has now been more than 35 years since the portable console was released on April 21, 1989 in Japan. After three games Mario in March, the Kyoto firm finally added Super Mario Landthe brick breaker Alleyway which was retroactively attached to the license and the game Baseball for the eponymous sport. In Japan, theAction RPG Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru comes in addition to these productions. No need to wait to enjoy them, since these games are already available.

If you want to discover a little more about each of them, here are their descriptions:

  • Alleyway – Demolish blocks with a bouncing energy ball and try to accumulate a high score! As Mario, pilot your spaceship to the Alleyway gate and destroy the space grids by deflecting the energy ball towards them. Keep your ship moving and the ball in play until every block is cleared to complete the stage. As you progress through each level, you will be faced with the challenge of alternating stages, bonus rounds and much more. Speed and quick reflexes will become your most powerful allies to achieve the best score.
  • Baseball – Pitch and bat in this 1989 Game Boy classic. As a pitching team, carry a series of fastballs while adjusting curve and speed, but be careful not to wear out your pitcher. If the batter connects, your outfield or infield can support you. Eliminate the opposing team and it’s your turn to attack. As a team of batters, move yours across home plate and time their swing on the incoming ball. Try to safely reach the next base or score for a home run. Strategize your team’s moves and lead your team to victory. Play the game !
  • Super Mario Land – Relive Mario’s first Game Boy adventure! Obstacles and enemies of all kinds await you in the picturesque kingdoms of Sarasaland, where you will travel through ancient ruins, stay afloat in rushing waters and overcome numerous challenges. As Mario, you’ll run, jump, and bounce your way to glory on his mission to save Princess Daisy (in her first appearance!) from a mysterious alien and restore peace to the land. This game also has some distinct gameplay quirks to discover, including the Superball Mario bonus and even levels in which Mario pilots a plane and a submarine.
