As in other Nintendo destinations already in place since 2021, the new Donkey Kong Country area will be compatible with Power-Up Bands, bracelets sold separately thanks to which visitors can have fun taking on virtual challenges by finding objects that are just as much. The main attraction of the place will be a roller coaster based on the iconic trolley rides from the Rare and Retro Studios games.
“ A one-of-a-kind attraction concept, full of innovative and unexpected surprises, will have you jumping out of barrels, dodging obstacles and jumping tracks in an immersive roller coaster experience you’ll never forget “, commented Brian Robinson, Creative Director at Universal Creative. In the pipeline since the opening of Super Nintendo World, the Donkey Kong Country area will also have its own souvenir shop with the right amount of goodies and snacks.
Remember that Super Nintendo World expanded this year to Universal Studios Hollywood (California) and that additional openings are expected in 2025 at Universal Orlando Resort (Florida) and Universal Studios Singapore (Sentosa). The Donkey Kong Country zone is currently only announced in Japan.
