Feb 7 (Reuters) – Japanese carmaker Nissan plans to virtually halt development of new combustion engines and focus on developing electric vehicles in its main markets except the United States, according to a report. of the Nikkei business daily.
According to the Japanese newspaper, which does not specify its sources, Nissan will continue to develop gasoline engines for the American market on a limited basis, mainly for pick-ups.
