A plastic reproduction of a reindeer of Santa Claus is the victim of the vengeance of his congeners.
In Canada, the Chmelyk family in Fort Nelson, British Columbia, can be proud of their Christmas decorations, especially their life-size reproduction of Santa’s famous reindeer, Rudolph, who is wearing a hat in front of the house. Despite its flashing red nose, not very common in this species in the wild, it was quickly considered by its flesh and bone congeners as one of their own.

But the Christmas spirit does not seem to have appeased the local reindeer and the visits they pay to this plastic Rodolphe are not always very friendly. The Chmelyk family was able to film one of these encounters which ended with an aggression of rare violence against poor Rodolphe, thrown to the ground with a head butt and mercilessly knocked to the ground. “Every year, it’s the same thing,” Arlene Chmelyk told CBC News, “they attack him systematically and we have to repair the damage. But that will not discourage us: Rodolphe will remain in our yard, whatever it costs us. “
