No driver’s license – drug dealer gave the police a chase

A 21-year-old from Klagenfurt, known to the authorities, was involved in a wild chase with the police on Thursday. When officers tried to stop him, he thundered away — despite being under the influence of drugs and not having a driver’s license.

Shortly after 3 p.m., the police officers on a patrol noticed a driver from Klagenfurt – the 21-year-old is known to the authorities and because the officers knew that he did not have a valid driving license, they took up the pursuit. Suddenly the 21-year-old accelerated and drove away. In the middle of the city center – on Florian-Gröger-Strasse – the man overtook two cars at high speed under “dangerous conditions”, according to the police. He was carrying a knife in the car, despite the gun ban. The police also found drugs containing narcotic drugs and drug paraphernalia. The 21-year-old was arrested for the time being. An examination by the medical officer revealed that the man had driven the car under the influence of addictive substances. He is reported – for resistance against state authority, driving without a license and violation of the Weapons and Narcotic Drugs Act.
