On Sunday there will be restrictions on traffic on the Gaisberg between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Because during this time cars are not allowed to drive on Salzburg’s local mountain – with one exception. For the first time, electric cars are allowed to drive up the barrier.
“On Sunday, visitors can once again enjoy the autumnally colorful Gaisberg free from car emissions. Only electric vehicles are allowed. The weather will be nice. And route 151 is also being tested with an electric bus,” says the municipal Gaisberg coordinator Florian Kreibich. Residents are of course exempt from the roadblock on the L 108 Gaisberg Landesstraße from Guggenthal.
