No need to download the Molotov application to enjoy its programs

Molotov announces the addition of an option on its site: you can now save yourself the installation of the application to start watching TV in streaming. A simple browser connection is enough.

Despite its recent legal setbacks with the TF1 and M6 groups, which forced it to integrate a large part of their program into its paid offers, Molotov continues its development. Latest news: the streaming service is no longer just an application, it is now accessible from an internet browser.

How to get there

To access this new option, nothing could be simpler, open your favorite browser, look for the Molotov site, and there, a new option appears in addition to downloading the application.

Then simply log in to your account to find all the usual features of the service. Only downloading to watch offline requires the app, as is often the case with sVOD platforms.

Only on PC

Let’s specify from the outset, the solution only works on PC. On smartphones, the new option that appeared on their site “open in browser” leads to Molotov’s Play Store page.

Let’s add that if you are used to viewing videos on half of your screen, the site does not support this option. As soon as you reduce the window a little too much, you will learn that “Your screen resolution is not high enough on this device”. A formulation not necessarily adapted, since it is not so much the screen that is of concern as the “responsiveness” of the site.

So what is this option actually for? It may be useful on devices unable to install the app because they are too old or not compatible with traditional stores, but which still have an integrated browser. It also makes it possible to offer a new entry point that is easier to use for users who are not necessarily very comfortable with installing applications.
