However, this should not allow such a product to compete with the GeForce RTX 4070 which retains a very clear advantage even though it is billed a hundred euros more. In fact, the question arises of the very interest of this RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB.
NVIDIA clearly isn’t going to bludgeon on their launch of the seventh RTX 4000 card. Indeed, on paper it shouldn’t be much more powerful than the 8GB RTX 4060 Ti and only retains interest for the most demanding games. heavy and less well programmed.
No test card, no home test Clubic ?
In collaboration with various studios, NVIDIA is working precisely so that these 8 GB of VRAM in addition are not essential. There are of course games to require them from 1440p, even 1080p, but they are only a handful and they should logically become rare.
In fact, we can understand the position of NVIDIA’s partners who prefer to avoid a card with a significant additional cost (8 GB of VRAM is not free) for a technical interest that is altogether limited. That said, we probably won’t be able to verify all of this for ourselves.
According to our colleagues from VideoCardzit is not in NVIDIA’s plans to make test samples of this RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB available and, at Clubic, we are clearly not sure we can offer you a test. Business to follow as the release is set for July 18.
