This summer, Tesla decided to deploy a pool at one of its Supercharger stations.
The American manufacturer is testing various convenience options around its charging stations.
A swimming pool at the Supercharger?
A few weeks ago, Tesla decorated a German Supercharger station with a lounge area, which allows users to enjoy a coffee machine, a restaurant area, armchairs…. This initiative stems from a partnership with bk World, which has developed a new ” deployable lounge » including a bunch of amenities. A few days ago, a swimming pool was installed in a Tesla charging station.
This is happening again in Germany, where customers of the Superchargeur station in Hilden can take advantage of a small above-ground swimming pool, while they recharge their vehicles. Instructions posted by Tesla indicate that up to 4 people can use the pool at the same time, for a maximum of 10 minutes. There are even balls with the effigy of Tesla to play in the water.
Recall that the Tesla Supercharger station in Hilden is one of the largest in Germany, with a total of 40 chargers (8 Superchargers up to 150 kW and 32 Superchargers up to 250 kW). It remains to be seen whether these few initiatives currently available only in Germany will be gradually rolled out in other countries.
