A Google product that can’t be bought? It may sound slightly crazy, but that’s exactly how it is: The new “dLight” will probably never go on sale. It is a smart lamp that is only offered to a special group of people.
Google lamp “dLight” only appears for employees
With the “dLight” a brand new Google product is available – but the general public will probably never have the opportunity to purchase it. Instead, the smart lamp comes with Google Assistant exclusively reserved for employees of the group. Another special feature also concerns the price, because nothing has to be put on the table for the chic lamp.
Employees in the US can get “dLight” for free to make their home office more attractive. Due to the pandemic, many of the Group’s employees are still working from home; a return to the office is currently not mandatory. The lamp is apparently so popular that it’s already being sold first delivery problems comes.
In terms of design, it could well be an Apple product. The lamp is modern, is completely white and can be rotated flexibly. There are also several presets for the light and the color temperature can be set individually (source: 9to5Google).
