As the trial of Nordahl Lelandais for the murder of little Maëlys – who disappeared on the night of August 27, 2017 – approached, Bruce Toussaint’s teams took an interest, on January 26, in the reconstruction made by the investigators in the company of the suspected murderer. A judicial reconstitution, made in September 2018during which the girl’s mother, Jennifer de Araujo, had not been able to keep calm.
Faced with the man who confessed to having killed his daughter, the mother of the family could not contain her emotion. “You threw it in nature like waste! you are a dirty monstera pedophile!”, she would then have launched. A remark in the face of which Nordahl Lelandais would have remained impassive. “He heard me. He didn’t say anything at all. They took him back in the van”, shared the mother of the family to our colleagues from BFM TV.
Jennifer de Araujo is ready to “fight”
Received by Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine in It’s up to you, on January 25, the mother of little Maëlys shared her state of mind as the trial approached, scheduled for January 31. “He doesn’t scare me. I am ready. I will fight for my daughter. I want justice for him” she had shared on the set. And to continue, about his expectations: “I’m waiting to get answers about what really happened because, from the beginning, he gave us several versions of how he murdered my daughter and I’m waiting for him to finally tell the truth and especially that he remains the longest in prison.”
