On Saturday December 10, YouTube decided to demonetize Norman’s videos. This decision follows the custody of the biggest French youtubeur, heard for acts of rape and corruption of minors. Six young women have indeed filed a complaint against Norman Thavaud, who denies the facts.

Norman therefore no longer receives any income linked to his channel, Norman makes videos, him who is the third largest French youtuber with 12 million subscribers. Before, when you launched a content that he had uploaded, there was advertising… before and during the video. That’s what generated revenue. It is not the case anymore.

Six women filed a complaint against Norman

YouTube took this decision following the police custody of Norman Thavaud last week, to be heard on facts of rape and corruption of minors against the youtubeur, according to the public ministry. Several sources had told AFP since Monday that Norman’s custody would not necessarily lead to prosecution, as the case stands. According to the newspaper Release, five of the complainants would accuse Norman Thavaud of rape and two were minors at the time of the facts. Norman Thavaud’s police custody was finally lifted without prosecution at this stage. The investigation continues.

Maggie D. filed a complaint in Canada

In 2020, a Quebec fan, Maggie D., publicly accused Norman Thavaud of having manipulated her to obtain sexual photos and videos, when she was, according to her, 16 years old at that time. She said she had filed a complaint in Canada. As part of a Quebec-French investigation published by the Urbania media in April 2021, other women had made similar accusations against the youtuber for facts that allegedly occurred when some were still minors. Questioned by AFP, Maggie D. confirmed to be in France to be confronted this Tuesday with Norman Thavaud before the investigators, as indicated Release.
