North Korea reportedly fired cruise missiles

SEOUL, Jan 25 (Reuters) – North Korea fired what appear to be two cruise missiles off its east coast on Tuesday morning, South Korea’s Yonhap news agency reported, citing military sources in Seoul.

The South Korean military is analyzing tests carried out by Pyongyang to determine the nature of the projectiles, Yonhap added.

No confirmation was given immediately by the services of the South Korean army staff.

North Korea has carried out several rounds of missile tests since the beginning of the month, while the number one North Korean Kim Jong-un called during his New Year greetings for a reinforcement of the military capacities of the country, citing the security context against a backdrop of deadlock in discussions with the United States.
