Good antivirus software today offers much more than just unobtrusive protection against malware and other attacks. For example, the largest Norton version, Norton 360 Premium, offers 75 GB of online storage for backups, a password manager, VPN and much more for one year.
In the test, Norton 360 was able to convince with the best protection in the test environment, but it was also annoying with a few false alarms.
Our assessment from the CHIP test:
“Norton hits malware hard on the fingers. No other virus scanner provides such good detection. This results in the top rating in the area of protection. The performance is also right. Unfortunately, there is one major disadvantage: the software produces far too many false alarms when scanning for viruses.“
