More than 500 games and applications incorporate technologies designed for NVIDIA graphics cards. A great success without a doubt.
Announced at Gamescom 2018, the GeForce RTX 2000 series are the first NVIDIA cards to benefit from this new acronym that we take to mean Ray Tracing Texel eXtreme.
In five years, not only have RTX graphics cards stood out against all their competitors, but they have also been able to benefit from a software and technological ecosystem of which NVIDIA is very proud.
A competition to celebrate the event
The American firm is today celebrating a great success since, according to NVIDIA statistics, the number of games and applications supporting RTX technologies has exceeded 500.
There is obviously no question of naming them all, but NVIDIA has an entire page dedicated to its RTX technologies. In addition to specifying its outlines, said page lists all the games and applications compatible with a dynamic table which can be adjusted to only show titles compatible with ray tracing, DLSS 3, DLSS 2 or all at once.
To drive the point home even further, NVIDIA has also decided to launch the “RTX 500”. This is a game allowing you to “ win one of twenty Green Man Gaming gift cards worth $500 that can be spent on RTX or any of the games and DLC expansions offered in their massive store “.
New drivers… and already a hotfix
The party wouldn’t be complete without the release of new graphics drivers to prove that NVIDIA tracking is impeccable. These are the GeForce Game Ready 546.29.
Their main objective is to support Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Season 1of Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, Throne and Liberty And Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Along with this, the new drivers are there to fix a display bug on the Microsoft Edge browser and fix a defect when streaming games via Discord.
On the other hand, a small hiccup, because these drivers are already encountering a problem: it seems that a stuttering phenomenon appears when streaming under Discord while vertical synchronization is activated. A hotfix has already been published by NVIDIA to remedy this.
