Not boring at all: retro e-bikes in bright red are on sale at Lidl

Do you want to equip yourself with a new e-bike for spring and are you flirting with a Dutch bike? Then you will find what you are looking for at Lidl. The discounter offers a pedelec from Fischer in its online shop. The bike relies on a retro look in the Dutch bike style – the color in particular is an eye-catcher.

The e-bike with 28-inch wheels has a Bafang Silent Drive front motor, which supports you with up to 32 Newton meters for a range of up to 80 kilometers. The lithium battery under the luggage rack has a capacity of 317 watt hours.

The bike has a 3-speed hub gear, front and rear rim brakes and a coaster brake. The e-bike weighs a total of 29 kilograms and has a maximum total weight of 150 kilograms.

All in all, you get a pedelec that is appropriate for the low price. It scores above all with the existing coaster brake, the low-maintenance hub gear and the chic design.

There are deductions for the braking system, the relatively weak motor and small battery. This makes the bike particularly suitable for short tours or shopping trips. The e-bike is not recommended for very mountainous regions due to the rather weak motor.

The Fischer Cita Retro 2.0 is available from Lidl for a short time for 1221.57 euros. A fair price, because the manufacturer’s recommended retail price is 1,479 euros.
