For the start of 2024, Nothing has hit hard with a complete smartphone for less than 400 euros with an original design: the Phone (2a). As usual, the brand of ex-CEO of OnePlus, Carl Pei, pays meticulous attention to software monitoring.
This is how a new update was deployed on April 15, 2024 on this model: Nothing OS 2.5.5. Through a Twitter/X publication, Nothing explained that this version firstly brought improvements to the photo side:
- 📸 Improved camera color saturation;
- 👤 Optimized blur accuracy in portrait mode, as well as overall clarity;
- ⚡ Improved camera loading speed.
As a reminder, this component had already been refined last March with Nothing OS 2.4.4, particularly in terms of color precision and saturation, the effect bokeh portrait mode or even the brightness and tone of Ultra XDR photos.
The Phone (2) is then entitled to the April 2024 security patch and optimizations concerning the fluidity of animations, in-game performance and Google Assistant.
Finally, Nothing emphasizes having improved the stability of its Android overlay and corrected some bugs:
- 📱 Fixed compatibility issues with some launchers third party ;
- 🌐 Fixed stability issues with WiFi and Bluetooth connections;
- 🌙 Fixed an issue where the Night Lights feature was ineffective on the lock screen.
