The doors of Australian Open will have a hard time opening up to Novak Djokovic. While the Grand Slam tournament is due to start on January 17, the Serbian has been ordered to leave the country due to his lack of Covid-19 vaccination. Yet holding a medical exemption, Jelena’s husband saw his entry visa be canceled by Australian authorities. The world tennis number 1 filed an appeal and was placed in a detention center in Melbourne. Alone in his sad hotel room, Djoko is waiting for only one thing: to know whether or not he will be able to feel the hard surface of Melbourne. In the meantime, Novak Djokovic takes his illness patiently and takes care of it as best he can.

Except that things are slowly starting to get tough for Djoko. This Saturday, January 8, his lawyers filed a document in federal court which reveals that the Serbian tested positive for Covid-19 on December 16, after having carried out a PCR test. Everyone knows the procedure to follow in this case : isolation and all the noise.
