November brings frosty cooling: The weather pattern changes

The pattern is quite stable, but it won’t last forever. Already in the second week of November the general weather conditions change, if only a little. But that has a major impact on Germany in particular.

In the second week of November there is a significant change in weather. High pressure shifts south and east towards the British Isles. And that in turn triggers the bad weather.

The low pressure areas in the south are weakening and migrating to the Mediterranean. On the one hand, this increases the risk of strong storms and, on the other hand, the supply of warm air to Germany is interrupted. The mild Mediterranean air moves further to Eastern Europe. With us, on the other hand, November weather sets in: a cool north wind with lots of showers, fog and high fog sets in and the temperatures are also going downhill – to the point of frost.
