Now caught – 65-year-old is said to have stolen a series of Audis

After several high-quality cars were stolen in the past few weeks, investigators were now able to catch a 65-year-old as the suspected perpetrator in the act: He was sitting in an Audi A5 that he had stolen in Eberstalzell (Upper Austria), which he drove towards the Czech Republic.

On Thursday night, another car – an Audi A5 – was stolen in Eberstalzell using the same pattern. Caught at the border. This time, however, a police patrol was able to locate the stolen car and stop it near the border with the Czech Republic. The driver, a 65-year-old Ukrainian, was arrested. He initially refused to make any statements. On the order of the public prosecutor, the suspected serial thief was taken to the Linz prison.
