Now comes the 2G-Plus rule in restaurants: The complete decision paper for free download

Chancellor Scholz discussed the current corona situation with the heads of government of the federal states. New quarantine requirements are due to come into force shortly. Access to gastronomy should only be possible according to the 2G-Plus rule.

“The Omikron variant will keep us busy for a long time,” said Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz after a video conference with the prime ministers of the federal states on the current corona situation. There is still no all-clear for the health system. The number of infections would continue to rise, also with an increasing number of patients in the hospitals. “That’s why we have to prepare for this situation and we are doing it,” said Scholz.

In future, visits to restaurants will only be possible with vaccination + test or booster vaccination

Access to gastronomy (restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs, etc.) is still limited to vaccinated and convalescent people (2G) and is only available at short notice nationwide and independent of incidence with a daily test or with proof of a booster vaccination the day of the booster vaccination (2G Plus).

According to the decision paper, the federal states will pay special attention to bars and pubs in which the risk of infection is particularly high due to direct contact, small distance and masks that are not worn all the time.

Indoor clubs and discos (“dance fun”) will remain closed until further notice and dance events will be prohibited.
