Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060: new Game Ready drivers are available

The GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card, which provides access to the benefits of raytracing for a relatively affordable price, is entitled to the latest Nvidia drivers to optimize its operation with several recent games.

While it has returned to a price level farther from the recommended manufacturer price, Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card is also entitled to an important software update. These are GeForce Game Ready 512.59 WHQL drivers optimized for gaming Dune: Spice Wars and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt. Two other titles Chernobylite and JX3 Onlinerespectively benefit from the support of the raytracing and DLSS.

A particularity of the Game Ready program, Nvidia collaborates with developers throughout the design of a game. in terms of instruction throughput, memory and cache occupancy. Thus, any bugs and sources of slowdowns are identified and corrected well in advance. At the same time, the engineers in charge of the Nvidia drivers communicate to the developers the optimizations introduced in order to ensure that they bring the expected benefit.

More than 4500 hardware configurations tested

Nvidia specifies that it even happens to work directly with Microsoft to intervene on Windows, but also with the developers of rendering engines Unreal Engine, Unity and others. Currently, Game Ready drivers support 89 desktop and laptop GPUs. But that’s not all !

For each computer with specificities in terms of its processor, RAM, and operating system version, Nvidia has developed an automated test protocol that supports more than 4,500 possible hardware configurations going back until 2012. In 2021, the company says it has completed more than 1.8 million hours of testing on available and upcoming games.

It is thanks to this background work that the GeForce Game Ready drivers guarantee the constancy of the frame rate and delays, low latency, and avoid bugs. Note that the GeForce Game Ready 512.59 WHQL are also available for all graphics cards in the Titan series, RTX 30, RTX 20, GeForce 16 Series, 10 Series, 700 and 900 Series.
