NVIDIA: yet another pilot for Portal with RTX and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

NVIDIA chain the publications of drivers for PC gamers equipped with its graphics cards. The manufacturer publishes today a new driver to accompany the release of Portal with RTXnew version of the puzzle game of Valve which now benefits from DLSS-3of SLR and obviously of ray tracing.

the driver is also there for the arrival of the big update next gen from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, expected next week on computers. The title of CD Project will benefit from a lot of technical innovations, here is the list:

  • RTX Global Illumination (RTXGI) adds more immersive and realistic ray tracing outdoor lighting;
  • Ray-based ambient occlusion improves shading around objects that obscure light;
  • Ray-based shadows improve shadow fidelity, clarity, and visibility;
  • Ray-tracing reflections improve the accuracy and quality of reflections from bodies of water and other reflective surfaces;
  • Ultra+ settings increase draw distances, foliage density, background character detail, asset quality, and more;
  • Texture resolutions are increased and environments gain in geometric detail.

The game also adds DLSS 3 to multiply performance and NVIDIA Reflex to minimize latency.

Finally, the pilot accompanies the exit of Dominion Maltanew DLCs from Jurassic World Evolution 2 realized by Frontier Developments in collaboration with Universal Games and Digital Platforms, based on the latest film. In addition to the paid extension, all players are entitled to a free update making the game compatible with the DLSS-3.
