After more than a year in early access on Steam and GOG, the tactical roguelike Oaken is now available in 1.0. In addition to the PC version, the title developed by the Polish studio Laki Studios and published by Goblinz Publishing is also available in dematerialized version on PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
The turn-based tactical roguelike takes place in the world of Oaken that stretches between the branches of the Great Oak. A world of nature populated by spirits listening to the same voice, the song of the Oak. But when the latter suddenly disappears, the small universe of the Great Oak descends into a great conflict, the outcome of which could just as easily heal the Great Oak as destroy it.
To take part in this conflict, you will have to manage your deck as well as possible and gather allies of choice. Tactical battles take place on a hexagonal grid where mastery of positioning is essential. But no worries for the most novice players. The title has been designed to be as easy to learn as it is difficult to master. Enough to allow players of all levels to have fun.
