With an “all-round carefree package”, the DIY chain Obi has previously advertised its solar systems, which were rented out together with partner DZ4. PV systems can now also be purchased.

Obi is now offering the solar systems for the house roof in cooperation with the Berlin company Zolar. Lichtblick is one of the other cooperation partners.

The process is very simple. Interested parties first give some basic information about their solar project via this Obi website. After a few days, a first offer should be sent by e-mail.

A digital, more in-depth consultation follows to clarify details and local events. Only then does a site inspection take place by expert staff to check the technical feasibility. If everything is correct, the expected yield is compared with the costs and the amortization period is calculated. You can then accept or decline the offer. You have two weeks to do this.

Regional partner companies then take over the construction of the PV system. The necessary registration with the network operator is also taken care of for you. Obi also promises support when replacing the meter and grants a two-year warranty on assembly and commissioning. You can read more reports from the field of alternative energy production here.

A complete PV roof is a size too big for you? Then a much easier and cheaper to install balcony power plant is right for you. You can also reduce your electricity bill with the help of solar generators and power stations.
