Now that the fifth episode of “Obi-Wan Kenobi” has started streaming on Disney+, we only have to wait a week for the finale of the “Star Wars” series. A lot happened in episode 5 that has to be brought together and brought to a conclusion in the sixth episode.

As a result, Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) and the rebels are hiding on Jabiim, but Vader (Hayden Christensen) and Reva (Moses Ingram) quickly catch up and corner them. To escape, Kenobi deftly uses Reva’s hatred against Vader.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Reva’s backstory finally confirmed!

Fans had long suspected that Reva was one of the youths in the Jedi Temple when the fatal Order 66 was carried out. Now this theory has been confirmed. Reva was there when Anakin attacked the Jedi Temple. That’s how she knows Anakin is Darth Vader. Obi-Wan recognizes this and confronts her about it.

He asks her to help him fight Vader, realizing that Reva doesn’t serve Vader at all, but actually only plans to get revenge. Obi-Wan eventually convinces Reva to help him, but fails when she tries to kill Vader from behind.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Is Reva Really Dead?

After a very one-sided fight, Darth Vader rams Reva’s stomach with her own lightsaber, leaving her on the sands of Jabiim. As she lies defenseless, the Grand Inquisitor (Rupert Friend) returns and confirms that both he and Vader knew all along what agenda she was actually following.

In the end, they leave Reva without ending her life with a final fatal blow. We then see her finding Obi-Wan’s communicator, which is how she learns about Luke Skywalker on Tatooine. Since she gets such important information at the end of the episode, we assume that we will definitely see her again in the sixth episode.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Returning to Tatoooine in Episode 6?

When Reva learns that Bail Organa (Jimmy Smits) will be heading to Tatooine to check on “the boy” at the Lars farm if he doesn’t hear from Obi-Wan, she can put two and two together. So she’s going to go to Tatooine like Bail Organa.

What intention Reva will have is unclear. Whether she will find her end in “Obi-Wan Kenobi” or will be considered in other “Star Wars” new releases with appearances is in the stars of the galaxy far, far away. What is certain is that in episode 6 of “Obi-Wan Kenobi” with Bail and Reva two important characters will set off for Tatooine.

Obi-Wan will also return to the desert planet by the end of the episode at the latest, otherwise we would have a continuity problem with “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope”. But Obi-Wan would not risk Darth Vader following him to Tatooine.

So the big final battle between Kenobi and Vader will most likely not take place on Tatooine. Of course, we won’t know for sure until June 22, 2022, when the finale of “Obi-Wan Kenobi” will be released in the Disney+ New Releases program.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Why does Darth Vader let Reva live?

Many fans are puzzled that Darth Vader allows Reva to live. It would have been more logical for him to make short work of her. On the other hand, Reva didn’t pose much of a threat to him in one-on-one combat, so he feels too bad to show her mercy.

He prefers to let her rot in the sand, but looks like she survives. Did Darth Vader take that into account? Is he speculating that she will contact Kenobi or that Kenobi will return to help her? More likely, Vader just doesn’t care what happens to Reva. As he says himself: it has served its purpose.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Did Vader stab Reva when he was a kid?

When Reva is stabbed by Darth Vader, the flashback cuts to Anakin Skywalker killing 66 younglings during Order 66. It looks like Anakin stabbed Reva back then. But can that be?

It’s entirely possible that Vader “kills” Reva twice with the same attack. We know from “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” that Darth Maul survived his mortal wounds from “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace”. The key to this is anger and the dark side of the force. Anger keeps you alive.

That way, if Reva had actually been stabbed as a child, she could have survived her wounds. But how does she survive now? How much anger and dark side is left in her?
