(Boursier.com) — Octopus Biosafety (formerly known as OCTOPUS ROBOTS), an expert in poultry robotics dedicated to broiler poultry, informs the public of the acquisition of the assets of the Breton company TIBOT.

The Rennes startup TIBOT was a pioneer in poultry robotics with the Spoutnic, a small animation robot intended for breeding farms. Since 2016, 200 units of this robot have been marketed in 22 countries through a network of 14 distributors. The Spoutnic was replaced in December 2021 by the T-Moov, of which 44 units were marketed in the first half of 2022. The TIBOT range was completed by the Easy-LIT, an electric poultry scarifier which was launched in July 2022.

Covid-19, component supply difficulties, avian flu and the war in Ukraine delayed the development of sales and dealt a fatal blow to the company, which was placed in receivership in July 2022.

The takeover covers all intangible assets (patents, trademarks, technical files and embedded software, after-sales service files, website, CRM software, etc.), the stock of several dozen finished T-Moov and Easy-LIT products and spare parts for Spoutnic products, as well as all production and ‘R&D’ tools and equipment.

As soon as the assets are integrated, Octopus Biosafety will be able to immediately ensure the marketing and delivery of T-Moov and Easy-LIT products as well as after-sales service for the entire range.
