Oculus Quest 2: the V38 installs discreetly and permanently erases Oculus from the map!

Since the release of theOculus Quest 2, the updates were numerous and their deployment was almost always done in a particularly original way. Indeed, at first, they are done in waves and affect some helmets before others for no reason, at least none of which have been identified by us, poor mortals. It can sometimes even take several weeks before the entire active fleet is affected by the Grace the same update. Another specificity of these Oculus updatesthey never contain everything that should be there, at least what is advertised. So headsets with the same version numbers of firmware may not have the same menus or features. Annoying as hell, but it’s a proven fact that doesn’t really have a solution other than patience. For example, despite this change of number, we still do not have the possibility of moving around the Home while this should be possible from the previous version of the firmware.

Today is the update V38 (38.0.0.63.727.351486028) which points the tip of its nose via the public test channel (TPC). While rumors spoke of the arrival ofInfinity Officesetting the transparency of the pass-throughan improvement in the sensitivity settings of the space-sense, the only big new feature visible on our helmet to date is the replacement of the logo Oculus at the start of the helmet by that of Meta (see video below). This logically follows the disappearance of the same old logo on the official website Oculus.com of which only theurl still recalls the original parentage.
