Oeneo records strong growth in the third quarter – 2022-01-20 at 18:25

(AOF) – Oeneo achieved revenue of 76.9 million euros in the third quarter of 2021-2022, up 17.8% at constant exchange rates and 17.7% in published data. Activity is also 11.4% higher in the third quarter of 2019-2020 before the health crisis. The Closures business experienced a 23.3% increase in revenues at constant exchange rates and the Breeding business, by 6.9%.

The Closures Division “will achieve a record year even if growth should logically slow down due to an increasingly high comparison base, while remaining vigilant in a context of cyclical rise in production costs”.

For the Livestock division, the fourth quarter will be marked by the campaign in the southern hemisphere, with a rather satisfactory start to date. The Division’s visibility is gradually improving and should lead to higher annual sales than the previous year.

China becomes the leading consumer of French cosmetics

Exports of the French cosmetics sector fell by 11.8%, to 15.7 billion euros in 2020. The health crisis has disrupted production and logistics in the sector, which nevertheless retains its position as the second largest contributor to the positive foreign trade balance. France also maintains its position as world leader in the sector (24% market share).

In a movement similar to that of the luxury industry, China has become the leading market, ahead of Germany and the United States. In 2020, exports to this country jumped 20.7%, while they fell 15% to the United States and 24% to Germany. According to the Federation of Beauty Companies, China is by far the leading buyer of French lipstick, with more than one in four lipsticks exported.
