Oise: An LREM deputy denounces an arson at his home

The garage of LREM deputy for Oise Pascal Bois was set on fire on the night of Wednesday, December 29 in Chambly (Oise). Targeted before the vote on the vaccine pass on Monday, the 62-year-old man found hostile tags on the subject on the perimeter wall of his home.

Alerted during the night, the firefighters managed to control the flames around 2:30 am this Wednesday in the personal garage of the politician, according to the SDIS of Oise.

The deputy lodged a complaint and an investigation was opened on the grounds of “destruction by dangerous means” and then entrusted to the Senlis Research Brigade, according to information provided by Jean-Baptiste Bladier, the Senlis prosecutor.

After having noticed on the wall near the garage inscriptions indicating “Vote no” and “It’s going to fart!” in reference to the vote on the vaccine pass on Monday, Pascal Bois saw his vehicle be partially burned in his garage.

“The most shocking is to attack the personal home,” analyzed the man inserted LREM. In fact, as a general rule, it is the offices of elected officials who are targeted by opponents of the health pass and not the personal homes of politicians.

He had also received “a rain of emails decrying attacks on freedoms” in recent weeks, supporting the thesis of an attack by opponents of the health pass.
