Trial of the century against OJ Simpson

Simpson was once one of the most famous athletes in the USA and was considered one of the biggest football stars of his time during his playing career. He also tried his hand in the entertainment industry. The athlete made several appearances in the “The Naked Gun” film series alongside Leslie Nielsen (1926-2010) in the late 1980s and 1990s.

Simpson gained worldwide fame above all through a criminal trial known in the USA as the “Trial of the Century”, which went down in the history books. Simpson was accused in the “trial of the century” of killing his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and her acquaintance, Ronald Goldman. Simpson was acquitted in the spectacular trial in 1995.

Nevertheless, Simpson later spent several years in prison. The former football star was sentenced to 33 years in prison for armed robbery in 2008, which was suspended after around nine years.
