Olivia Wilde has been served custody papers by her children’s father, Jason Sudeikis, while on stage.
“Personal and confidential” was written on the large yellow envelope that American-Irish actress, director and film producer Olivia Wilde (38, “Booksmart”) presented at the presentation of her film “Don’t Worry Darling” on Tuesday evening on the CinemaCon stage 2022 in Los Angeles.
As “Deadline” reports on Wednesdaythe envelope contained custody documents from US actor Jason Sudeikis (46, “Ted Lasso”), the father of their two children Otis (8) and Daisy (5).
According to the industry magazine “Variety” however, Sudeikis is said not to have known that Wilde would be served the legal papers in this public manner. A source told the publication: “Mr Sudeikis had no prior knowledge of the time or place the envelope would be delivered as that depended solely on the delivery company involved and he would never have tolerated being delivered in such an inappropriate manner is delivered.”
The documents were originally reported to be an unsolicited script given by a fan hoping to get Wilde’s attention.
Wilde and Sudeikis separated since 2020
Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis have been together since 2011 and engaged since 2013. Her son was born in April 2014 and a daughter in October 2016. In November 2020, Wilde and Sudeikis announced their separation. The actress is currently dating musician Harry Styles (28).
Details of their current custody arrangement have been kept private, and neither Wilde nor Sudeikis have commented on the contents of the envelope.
