Frenchwoman Tess Ledeux won the big air silver medal on Tuesday. She comes just behind the Chinese Eileen Gu, crowned Olympic champion in her country.
Yet the 20-year-old skier had announced the color from her first run, with a double cork 1.620 (four and a half laps) of which she has the secret.
Tess Ledeux took the lead with 94.50 points, before being overtaken on the last run.
On her last jump, the Chinese Eileen Gu, ahead of 4.25 points by the young woman from La Plagne, also released a double cork 1.620 and pocketed the gold in front of her home crowd.

Tess Ledeux, who couldn’t hold back her tears after her last jump, still achieved an excellent performance.
“First I said to myself that I could have won points on my last trick, so I was disappointed. Then afterwards, I said to myself it’s just incredible what is happening, you have an Olympic medal, you are Olympic vice-champion! ”, reacted the young woman in the mixed zone.
Tess Ledeux offers France its fourth medal, all in silver. She must take part in the slopestyle event, the final of which will be held on February 14.
