Around 1:30 p.m., the 53-year-old hiked with the five-year-old girl in the municipality of Mieders on a hiking trail from Koppeneck towards Gasthof Sonnenstein and passed a group of cows. “For an unknown reason, the cows attacked the two people,” the police said. Both hikers were taken to the hospital. The girl – an Austrian citizen – suffered serious injuries and the man was seriously injured. The two had to be taken to the hospital in Hall in Tirol by ambulance.
