ASFINAG announces that the winter and spring months have also left their mark on the main carriageway of the A 2 southern autobahn. Urgent maintenance work must therefore be carried out along the almost two-kilometer-long A 2 feeder road to Mooskirchen, which can only be carried out during a total closure on Wednesday, June 1 (from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
In addition to mowing work, repairs to the roadway and bridge transition structures are on the agenda for these seven hours. Fallen trees and broken branches have also damaged the wildlife protection fence in some places, which has to be repaired or partially replaced. In the course of the closure, the floor markings will also be refreshed and once all the work has been completed, the roadway and drainage will be cleaned. A total of 20 ASFINAG employees are on duty to be able to carry out all the work in this short time. The feeder is therefore closed for safety reasons (only emergency vehicles are excepted), the diversion via the Lieboch and Steinberg junctions is signposted accordingly.
