Between an adventurer, two hustlers and an alliance of superheroes, movie lovers will be delighted this week on Prime Video. Sports fans won’t be sidelined, with an exceptional documentary on a legendary club.
We’re starting the week off with a bang on Prime Video with The Lost City of Z. The film traces the adventures of Percy Fawcett, a real British major, who left in 1906 for the Amazon in the footsteps of a lost city. At the top of the poster, we find an impeccable quartet: Charlie Hunnam, Sienna Miller, Tom Holland and Robert Pattinson. All under the direction of James Gray, to whom we owe Ad Astra or The Immigrant.
To continue in the epic and the spectacular, go with Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and Flash in Justice League, released in theaters in 2017. To face a new threat, an alliance of vigilantes is created… But Superman is no longer there to protect humanity. Everything therefore rests on the (very broad) shoulders of Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa and many others, starting today on Prime Video.
Finally, if you are more documentary than fiction, The United Way also arrives on the platform this Friday. In 1h30, relive the epic and romantic story of one of the most legendary football clubs in the world, that of the Manchester United Red Devils. Testimonies of legends, unpublished images, and all narrated by none other than Eric Cantona, the bad boy inseparable from the red jersey.
The clapperboard movie of the week: The Coup of the Century
In Le Coup du siècle, Rebel Wilson and Anne Hathaway are two diametrically opposed queens of the scam. Duped by a billionaire, they combine their forces to bring him down… and line their pockets! A female remake of the 1964 comedies The Seducers and The Most Swindler of the Two from 1988, which alternately saw Marlon Brando, then Michael Caine hold the bill!
