The alleged attacker would be a former student of the establishment aged 20 and on S file for radicalization. He allegedly entered the establishment with a knife and stabbed three people. He allegedly shouted “Allahu Akbar” before attacking two teachers and a security guard. One of the attacked teachers died. The prefect announced that the second teacher and the security guard were seriously injured. The alleged attacker, a man of Chechen origin, was arrested by the police, revealed the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin on X (ex-Twitter). His brother was also arrested, near another school. He was not armed. President Emmanuel Macron and Minister of Education Gabriel Attal are visiting. Élisabeth Borne, the Prime Minister, cancels a trip to Orléans to return to Paris. The prefect of Pas-de-Calais also visited the site.
