one of the April 2024 games has leaked, it’s mega cult!

A second PlayStation Plus Premium game from April 2024 has also leaked and it is once again a great classic straight out of the PS1 catalog.

The PS Plus continues its little routine. In just a few days, Sony will lift the veil on all of the additions to the Extra and Premium formula catalogs. The Japanese publisher will think outside the box this month with the integration of two day one releases. On the one hand the excellent Dave the Diver who caused a sensation on PC and Switch last year. On the other hand, a pure novelty with Tales of Kenzera: Zau, the next game from the EA Originals label. Two titles which will therefore be available to discover as soon as they are launched with the PS Plus Extra and Premium. It seems that those who opted for the high-end formula are also well off this month.

A PS Plus Premium game has leaked

In addition to the monthly PlayStation Plus Essential and Extra games, Premium plan members enjoy some additional benefits. Among the welcome bonuses, we find “free” trials, which allow you to test the most important productions of recent years for several hours, and streaming of PS5 games via the Cloud. The most important exclusivity, however, is its catalog of retro games, including titles straight from the PS1 to PS3 era. After a timid start, the PS Plus Premium is seriously starting to take shape and the trend is not ready to stop.

It would appear that the original MediEvil from the PS1 would join the service in April 2024. The Gematsu site noticed that the list of trophies for the game appeared in the PSN backend during the last week. If it is significantly similar to that of the remake released on PS4, the icons of the trophies are however different, more old-school, with one of the artworks using the 1998 logo. Everything seems to point towards an imminent addition to the catalog of the PS Plus Premium.

Another game revealed in advance

MediEvil would also be accompanied by the shooter Star Wars Rebel Assault 2: The Hidden Empire. Another PS1 classic that leaked for a few days thanks to a classification organization. After wringing out the PSP catalog for (too) long months, Sony finally seems to be putting the PS1 back in its sights. It must be said that there is no shortage of cult games on its first console. Players still hope to see titles like Final Fantasy Tactics, Xenogears, Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo or even Resident Evil 2 land in PS Plus Premium. With a little patience, who knows? In the meantime, subscribers should be able to discover these two PS1 games from April 16, 2024 around 11 a.m. French time.
