According to Silknigth, an obviously very informed leaker, a remaster (or remake) of Final Fantasy Tactics would soon arrive on all platforms. If the information must be taken with a grain of salt like all rumors, several other things must also be taken into account. First of all, this is not the first time the informant is on the trail and he has often hit the nail on the head. This is particularly the case with the recent announcement of Ghost of Tsushima on PC. Then, above all, this is not the first time that the return of Final Fantasy Tactics has been mentioned.
Last February, an interview with one of the fathers of Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia told us that the studio behind the original Final Fantasy Tactics is currently very busy. It took no less to light the fuse. Added to this is the intervention of Yasumi Matsuno, creator of FF Tactics, who quite surprisingly kicked in on X (formerly Twitter) when fans questioned him about a potential return of his flagship game.
Let’s face it, it’s starting to do a lot. The leaker Silknight also specifies that this FF Tactics could see the light of day by the current year. We will still wait for an official confirmation from Square Enix, which, for the moment, is playing dead on this subject. But with such a juicy license which does not lose its splendor, despite a few small hiccups, like FF16 which obviously disappointed a little, we wouldn’t be surprised to see an episode as cult as Tactics return. Especially since it is more than appreciated by fans of the series.
