one of the DualSense’s biggest flaws is now fixed thanks to an update

The latest PS5 update welcomes a long-awaited novelty by players. It is no longer necessary to connect your controller to the console in order to update it. Improved comfort that will delight users

The PS5 regularly welcomes updates, like the one from last week. The DualSense controller can also receive updates from Sony, in order to improve a few things. Until now, you had to get up from your sofa to enjoy it. This time is now over.

Indeed, the latest patch of the machine brings a very practical feature: the possibility of updating its DualSense via wireless (OTA). As a result, the updates will be almost painless for the player.

The PS5 welcomes this long-awaited feature

When an update was available on the controller, it was necessary to connect the latter to the console to install it. We have all experienced this: you turn on the machine, a few seconds pass and right when you sit down on the sofa, the window asking you to plug in your pad appears on the screen. We then postponed the deadline by shifting the Update… Again and again… All that, it’s over.

Admittedly, this is not a major novelty in the life of the PS5 and it is not going to change the face of the industry. Nevertheless, this improvement in the quality of life should delight console owners. Note that with the competition, namely Microsoft, the controllers have already been updated in this way for a while.

The PS5 recently received its 7.0 firmware which brings many improvements. Among them, the arrival of Discord, the most popular chat tool among players, which was conspicuous by its absence. We can also enable variable refresh rate (VRR) on 1440p displays, excellent news. Other little things have also been improved, such as the organization of the library or even easier screen sharing with a friend.
