Samsung has finally started rolling out the highly anticipated One UI 6.1 update, which brings the AI features of the Galaxy S24. Unfortunately, everything did not go as planned for users, who are now victims of a bug that completely disrupts the fingerprint scanner. The good news is that there is a solution while we wait for an official fix.
Rarely has a One UI update been so anticipated. It must be said that One UI 6.1 brings with it a major argument: the AI features of the Galaxy S24, finally available on the Galaxy S23. Unsurprisingly, many users rushed to download the update once it was deployed by Samsung. But, as is often the case with updates of this size, this one arrived with some technical problems.
Users are firstly very unhappy to see that gesture navigation has disappeared for no apparent reason with the update. Although disabling for those who have become accustomed to it, it is still possible to interact with your smartphone despite the absence of this functionality. On the other hand, it becomes much more complicated when the fingerprint scanner simply refuses to work.
How to fix the bug that breaks the fingerprint scanner on Galaxy S23

The problem appears to affect all models in the range, including the Galaxy S23 FE. For some, you have to wait several seconds for the sensor to decide to scan the fingerprint. Others have to press several times before getting a reaction. As this is an obvious bug, and given the growing number of testimonials, Samsung should not delay deploying a fix. In the meantime, users have found a temporary solution.
