Late last week, SamMobile announced that One UI 6 (Android 14) was available on the Galaxy A23 5G in the European market, including the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Poland and Portugal. For information, the update takes version number A236BXXU4DWKA, weighs 2.16 GB and includes the November 2023 security patch (correcting 75 security vulnerabilities).
This Wednesday, December 27, SamMobile published another paper announcing the availability of One UI 6 on another Samsung smartphone: the Galaxy A13 5G. However, the media did not specify in which countries it is already possible to install this version. We only learn that the update is identified under the numbers A136BXXU5DWK7 / A136BOXM5DWK7 / A136BXXU5DWK3 depending on the version, weighs approximately 1.47 GB.
As a reminder, software tracking for Android is complete for the Galaxy A23 5G and Galaxy A13 5G. In fact, these two models were only entitled to two years of major updates. For comparison, the newly announced Galaxy A15 benefits from four years of tracking. Samsung is still not abandoning these two entry-level models, which will most likely be entitled to One UI 6.1 after the launch of the Galaxy S24, but above all to security updates for another two years.
