Based on the OnePlus 11, OnePlus wants to show a concept design for future cell phones at the MWC. A first teaser for this seems more like an “act of revenge”.

The OnePlus 11 concept phone is set to be officially unveiled on February 27th at the MWC in Barcelona. OnePlus has now published the first images of the upcoming model variant in its forum. Striking innovation: An LED strip that runs across the entire back and around the circular camera module.

Don’t we already know this from another device? Correct. The Nothing Phone (1) also offers LED lighting with the Glyph interface on the back. Spicy. Nothing is the new company of former OnePlus Global director and co-founder Carl Pei. Does OnePlus now want to “take revenge” for his departure and dispute his idea?

That remains to be seen. OnePlus does not reveal what the LED lighting is used for. This is to be discussed at the MWC. With the Nothing Phone, she can visualize music that is playing to her. You can also set up different flashing patterns that you can use to identify specific contacts when calling.

It is also unclear whether OnePlus really plans to make the design concept a reality. In 2020, the company already presented a design concept at the CES in Las Vegas with the OnePlus Concept One. The highlight here was a camera glass that tinted to hide the camera when not in use. The technology has never been used in a OnePlus cell phone.
