According to Indian leaker Mukul Sharma, OnePlus is working on the launch of a new OnePlus Watch 2 connected watch, but also on two new pairs of wireless headphones and a connected bracelet.
While OnePlus’ first connected watch, the OnePlus Watch, was eagerly awaited a little over a year ago, it’s an understatement to say that the feedback has been largely critical. OnePlus’ watch was considered by many to be little more than a simple connected bracelet, without real smart features and with an RTOS system that does not allow the installation of third-party applications.
It seems that this did not dampen the enthusiasm of the Chinese manufacturer. According to information from leaker Mukul Sharma, reported by the Android Police site, OnePlus is working on a new connected watch, but also on a connected bracelet and new wireless headphones.

Expect the launch to happen alongside a couple of upcoming OnePlus smartphones in Q3.

In a tweet posted on Friday, the Indian leaker takes stock of the future products expected from OnePlus for watches, bracelets and wireless headphones. According to him, we can expect the launch of two new pairs of wireless headphones in the third quarter, so before September. “In addition, the OnePlus Watch 2 and Band 2 are also in the pipeline”he says.
Characteristics still unknown
However, we still do not know anything about the characteristics of these future smartwatches and smartbands planned for OnePlus. We can thus imagine that OnePlus chooses to adopt the new Wear OS 3 system from Google instead of RTOS. Nevertheless, the RTOS system, if it is much more rigid than the Google platform in terms of application fleet, has the advantage of offering connected watches with much better autonomy. The same goes for the OnePlus connected bracelet. The brand’s first model, the OnePlus Band, was launched in January 2021. It is still unclear how the manufacturer intends to innovate with a new version.
Alongside these two devices for the wrist, OnePlus would therefore prepare two pairs of wireless headphones whose release in India would be scheduled for this summer. After the OnePlus Nord Buds, a second pair would be planned to integrate the brand’s more accessible “Nord” range. We still don’t know what positioning the second pair of true wireless headphones will adopt.
We should know more about OnePlus’ ambitions in the field of headphones, bracelets and connected watches in the coming months. According to Mukul Sharma, these announcements are expected “alongside other OnePlus smartphones“. The products could therefore be officially unveiled at the time of the presentation of the future OnePlus 10T, expected by this fall.
