The PlayStation 5 Slim Standard with disc player normally retails for €549.99. It is currently offered at several resellers with a reduction of €75. The offer ends this Sunday, February 25, 2024.
What is the standard PS5 Slim?
The PlayStation 5 Slim is a more compact version of the classic PS5 which was released at the end of 2023. It is available in two models: the digital edition for dematerialized games and the standard edition, equipped with a disc reader . Apart from its small weight loss cure, it remains almost identical in terms of design and performance. Its other most notable change is its storage space, which increases to 1 TB compared to 825 GB for the Fat version.
The big strong point of the Sony console is undoubtedly its DualSense controller. The latter is accompanied by numerous improvements which increase the gaming sensations. The new adaptive triggers and haptic vibrations, as well as its always perfect ergonomics, make it one of the best current controllers.
Is the PS5 Slim worth it for less than €480?
The Slim version of the Sony console is lowering its price for the first time. So this is a great deal if you wanted to get it. $75 in savings may not seem like a lot on an almost $500 purchase. But put into perspective, it’s a little more than the price of a recent triple-A game, coincidentally, the highly anticipated Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The latter is scheduled for February 29.
€75 savings on the purchase of the console is also the price of several months of PlayStation Plus subscription. The latter offers a large library of games, from the PS1 to the PS5, depending on the offer chosen. Several titles are also offered each month.
