Open-heart investigation on TF1: Claire Keim’s great regret about the series

TF1 is broadcasting the last three episodes of “Open Heart Investigation” tonight. A psychological drama tinged with thriller worn by Claire Keim who told us that she had a big regret about the series. And its title. Explanations.

After Aiming for the Heart, which recently started filming its second season, actress Claire Keim is the heroine of a new TF1 series, Open Heart Investigation, the last three episodes of which are already broadcast this Thursday, December 15 at from 9:10 p.m.

Also worn by Pierre-François Martin-Laval, Kevin Janssens, on the poster for Close at the cinema, or even the young Jessyrielle Massengo (Alice Nevers), this series written by Claire Lemaréchal and Franck Philippon tells the story of Florence Arrieta who , after a heart transplant, finds herself haunted by strange nightmares and feels the need to know the origin of her new heart.

Despite the hostility of her husband Vincent, she investigates in secret and discovers that her heart belonged to Ana Daendels, a young Belgian who died in a car accident in the Basque Country. She then meets Simon, Ana’s father. Given the disturbing circumstances surrounding the death of his daughter, the latter has just decided to embark on his own investigation, convinced that it is a murder.

Met during the promotion of the series, Claire Keim confided to us that she was very touched by the journey of her character: “What I find touching is that when Florence is finally transplanted, it should be the beginning of life for her and her family. They should be thinking, ‘Finally we will breathe, finally we will live.’ in fact it’s the beginning of hell for her”.

But the actress, who can be found from January 3 on M6 in Year Zero, also admitted to us that she had one regret about the TF1 series: she preferred her original title, or working title, which changed at the last moment.

Indeed, Open Heart Investigation was initially to be called Renaissances. It is also under this title that it was broadcast last October in Belgium (where part of the episodes were shot). But, for reasons that have not been specified by the channel, TF1 preferred to opt for another title, Enquête à coeur Ouvert, which puts more at the center the “investigation” side of the plot, dear to fans of fiction. policewomen who are, as we know, numerous in France.

“The original title, Rebirths, did the series much more justice”explains Claire Keim when asked about this title change. “It was perfection. That’s exactly what we wanted to say with this transplant story. I was a little angry at first”.

Fortunately, the parents of the actress have helped her to put all this into perspective and to see the qualities of the new title of the series, even if Claire Keim sticks to her positions and ensures that she prefers Renaissances.

“When I told my parents that the title of the series had changed, they said to me, “Ah yes, that’s good, we like investigations. And that’s really it. Open-heart investigation, we understand what it’s about”. So they reconciled me with the title, I said to myself, “Come on, it doesn’t matter”. is not a detective series, it must be said. But I still preferred Renaissances, I found it more beautiful. It was prettier to say too”.
