Employment: we are recruiting at Linagora, Alter Way and Combodo
The good health of companies in the free and open source software sector and the demand for skills in this area are manifested, among other things, by recruitment needs. The dedicated news site TooLinux spotted the announcement on LinkedIn of Michel-Marie Maudet, CEO of Linagorawhich states: “Following on from the excellent results of the last quarter of 2021, Linagora is engaged in an ambitious growth plan and is launching a recruitment plan for more than 100 employees in 2022.”
“The key skills sought:
– for our R&D and software production activities: #javascript / #flutter developers, tech leads mastering agile methods and with strong experience in industrialization (CI/CD), software architects, #UX and we are also looking for people interested now in #web3 to anticipate the next Internet revolution
– for our Consulting and Expertise activities: #DevOps experts, #J2EE / #Scala developments, #bigdata / #Hadoop consultants and engineers, but also anyone wishing to participate our customers in their appropriation of #opensource technologies”
– and several commercial, communication, marketing and HR positions.
Alter Waywhich has been “since January 1, 2022 the spearhead of the Infrastructure Cloud offer of the Smile group, the leading Open Source digital services company in Europe”, indicates that “after a very good year of growth in 2021, it is launching a recruitment campaign in France (Lille, Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier and Nantes) and in Morocco to support its positive impact development strategy.
The objective is to recruit more than 60 Cloud, DevOps, SecOps, FinOps, GreenOps talents in 2022 on its two activities:
– Cloud Management: managed services on public and private cloud
– Cloud Consulting: MoveToCloud advice and expertise.»
At the beginning of 2021, Alter Way had 180 employees and generated a turnover of more than 25 million euros, indicates the company. Véronique Torner, co-founder and general manager of Alter Way, comments: “In a market with strong pressure on IT skills, Alter Way is taking up the challenge of attracting new profiles by offering a trajectory combining innovation, excellence and responsibility. Alter Way is committed to raising awareness and training all its teams in GreenOps by the end of 2022.”
Combo, editor of the open source software iTop, announces opening 10 positions. The Grenoble-based company will pass the bar of 40 employees and thus intends to “carry out its development plan in France and internationally”. “Designed for all IT departments,” its solutions have 587,000 downloads and 200 clients, with users in 231 countries, the company says. Combodo is looking for the following positions in particular: support engineer, marketing, business development, two developer engineers, software maintenance engineer, PHP/DevOps developer engineer, Digital training, office manager, Web marketing.
Enalean in the Magic Quadrant
At Enalean, the French publisher of the Tuleap solution, this month of May is a moment of rejoicing with its selection in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant 2022 for “Enterprise Agile Planning” tools. In its announcement, the Chambéry company emphasizes that “Enalean is the only French publisher in this quadrant and the only one in the world to provide an agile solution that is entirely Open Source”.
“Gartner defines EAP solutions as tools that “enable organizations to deploy agile practices at scale to support holistic business vision. These tools act as a central hub for defining, planning and managing work. EAP solutions are the result of an evolution from project- or team-centric tools to a more holistic, enterprise-wide approach guided by the achievement of strategic outcomes and the delivery of products in a more nimble.”
The Tuleap solution is used in the health sector (AP-HP, Softway Medical), research (CEA centers, IRT B-Com), the French government (Vitam program – see this blog post -, DGA) and in large industrial groups (Thales, Sodern-subsidiary Ariane Group, STMicroelectronics, Jtekt Corp.), specifies Enalean.
