Talk show legend Oprah Winfrey underwent two knee surgeries in the past year.
US talk show legend Oprah Winfrey (68) had to endure two knee surgeries in 2021. She revealed that as part of her “The Life You Want” course. She spoke about it during a seminar focused on the topic of gratitude.
“I had knee surgery in August and I had another knee surgery in November,” Winfrey recalled. “When I first got home, I literally couldn’t lift my leg. I couldn’t lift my heel out of bed, and I vowed to myself if I could ever get up, walk around, and move again, I would take advantage of use exercise and sport […]”, said the moderator.
Oprah Winfrey discovered hiking
During her rehabilitation, she began to hike. “Every day I tried to hike more and do more,” Winfrey continued. “My appreciation for every organ and every limb has grown exponentially.” Winfrey has apparently maintained this commitment to hiking and exercise, even getting her friends to join in, as the “People” magazine writes.
